Essie Let It Ripple Summer Collection 2020

I have another exciting reveal for you today, and this time it’s the newest Essie collection; the Essie Let It Ripple Summer Collection 2020 which is available right here.

Essie have launched a lot of new collections over the last few weeks, as they’re obviously playing catch-up after the beauty industry being at a standstill for three months, but this new Essie Let It Ripple Collection is one of their prettiest collections to date.

I thought the Essie Sunset Soiree Collection was the epitome of summer in terms of shades, but the Essie Let It Ripple Collection is even prettier, and is full of stunning multi-dimensional shimmer shades.

If you don’t like shimmery polishes, their Sunset Soiree collection includes more crème finishes than it does shimmer, and is still very pretty. But there’s also their Bustling Bazaar collection which also launched recently, with some brighter and deeper tones.

The first shade in the six shade line-up of the Essie Let It Ripple Collection is Essie Wet-Suited Up which is described as being a pearly, baby pink shade.

It almost has a lilac duochrome finish which catches the light beautifully, and the duochrome effect would be more noticeable with additional coats to intensify the shade.

The next shade is one of my favourites in the collection, and it’s such a unique shade. It’s the Essie Tide Of Your Life shade, which is said to be a deep-sea sage, which I don’t feel does the shade justice at all. To me, Tide of Your Life looks like the perfect mermaid tail shade, and looks so multi-dimensional and beautiful.

If you love duochrome finishes, Essie Earn Your Tidal is going to be right up your street. It’s described as being a muted gold with green undertones, but it almost looks like a grungy khaki shade with a silvery green duochrome shift. It’s quite a sheer formula, but multiple coats would improve the opacity.

No Essie collection is complete without a pretty pink, and the Essie Good Vibrations shade is such a pretty pink. It’s a deep pink with blue undertones, and looks so sparkly on the nails.

Good Vibrations is not as multi-dimensional or multi-tonal as the other five shades in the Essie Let It Ripple collection, but it’s a nice addition to the collection all the same.

Blue polishes are one of my favourites to wear, and the Essie Get On Board shade is a vibrant oceanic blue. This shade looks like the sea when the sun is beaming down onto it, and is just so summery and lovely.

The last shade in the Essie Let It Ripple collection is another blue, and it’s the namesake in the collection – Essie Let It Ripple, which is a sparkling light blue. It’s a very sheer pale blue with silver sparkle, and would look great with a couple of more coats.

If you love the look of this collection, the six shades are available from ULTA and Walmart.
