I can never resist an Essie collection, so when I spotted the Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection had launched, I ordered all six and patiently waited for them to arrive.
I love Essie polishes, but their summer collection always pique my interest the most, especially if they’re bright and colourful, and even more so if they’re neon, and the Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish collection is just amazing.

Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection
The Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection has launched in the UK first which is so rare for Essie nail polish collections.
Usually they launch in the US first, and the UK have to wait a few weeks for the collection to arrive within the UK, but it’s only available in the UK right now.
It will however, launch globally at Essie stockists, so keep your eyes peels for the launch, and I’ll update this post as soon as that happens.
The Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection is inspired by the excitement of a summer time grand slam, and all of the shades have a fun tennis theme to them with their colours and shade names too.
As soon as I saw this collection, I ordered the whole collection as the colours are gorgeous. I’m a sucker for a neon or bright nail polish, and this collection includes six different polishes. I couldn’t wait to receive my order, and start testing all six shades.
Let’s take a look at the Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection….
The first shade in the Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection is Essie Make A Racquet 790, this is a bright neutral toned white creme.
The second shade is my absolute favourite in the collection, and is the Essie Serving Looks 792 shade. It’s a bright blue toned purple creme, and it was fully opaque in just one single coat.
It has such a flawless formula, with no streaks or patchiness. It’s going to be my go-to shade for my toes this summer for sure, it’s amazing, and the formula really is, as I said, flawless.
Next in the Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection is Essie Doubles Trouble 794. This is a bright lime green creme polish, which was a little patchy and needed an extra coat for a streak-free finish.
If you love neon shades, the next shade in the Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection is Essie Perfect Match Point 793. It’s a bright neon pink creme, which has a thinner formula which flooded my cuticles, so it’s a little more difficult to work with, but it’s worth the extra hassle, as it’s so pretty and bright.
Next in theEssie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection is Essie Love All Game 795. This is a lovely bright orange creme, with a very thin formula which again flooded my cuticles. It isn’t streaky which is rare for an orange, but it’s very messy to work with unless you use the thinnest of coats.
The last of the six shades in the Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection is Essie Have a Ball 791, which is a chartreuse yellow green creme. This reminds me of a tennis ball, and is my least favourite of the six shades, as it’s not my kind of shade, but if you like chartreuse shades, you’ll love Have A Ball.
All of the shades in this tennis themed collection have a semi-matte finish, although the more coats you apply, the glossier the end result appears.
So if you prefer a glossy finish to your nails, go for three thin coats, or alternatively add a layer of glossy top coat over the top for extra shine.
The Essie Have A Ball Nail Polish Collection is the perfect summer, bright collection and I love the tennis inspired theme. If you like bright polishes, you’ll really love this collection, and the six shades are available right now.
