The Essence Skin Lovin Sensitive Concealer has been revealed as the latest concealer launch for Essence, and it has launched as part of a Skin Lovin’ Sensitive collection. In addition to this brand new concealer, the collection also includes a primer and powder, all of which are designed for those with sensitive skin.
Essence Skin Lovin Sensitive Concealer
“Beauty all-rounder for a flawless complexion: The SKIN LOVIN ‘CONCEALER easily conceals pimples, redness and dark circles.
Its light, non-comedogenic formulation is barely noticeable and nourishes the skin with moisturizing aloe vera. The concealer can be individually built up from medium to high coverage.”
The Essence Skin Lovin Sensitive Concealer features a non-comedogenic formula, and contains aloe vera, so it has a soothing effect on the skin. It also doesn’t contain fragrance, alcohol, silicones, parabens or mineral oil either.
The Essence Skin Lovin Sensitive Concealer is only available in three shades which is seriously poor. Essence really made a positive statement with the launch of their Pretty Natural Foundation, as their response to the Pull Up For Change campaign, where brands were pulled up for their lack of inclusivity in their shade ranges.
Essence have always had a poor shade range, but their Pretty Natural Foundation features 36 shades, so it’s really disappointing that even though they showed us they can be inclusive with their products, they decided three shades would suffice for a concealer.
AQUA (WATER), isononyl ISONONANOATE, COCONUT ALKANES, glycerol, Triethylhexanoin, Magnesium Sulfate, polyglyceryl-4 DIISOSTEARATE / polyhydroxystearate / SEBACATE, Diisostearoyl Polyglyceryl-3 Dimer dilinoleate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, STEAROYL INULIN, Propylene Carbonate, Ethylhexylglycerin, HYDROGENATED lECITHIN, MAGNESIUM OXIDE, ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE, alumina, phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 77492 (Iron Oxides), CI 77499 (Iron Oxides), CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide).
The three shades available for the Essence Skin Lovin Sensitive Concealer are;
- 05 Fair
- 10 Light
- 20 Medium
I just don’t understand how beauty brands in 2021 think a shade range of three shades is acceptable. The two lighter shades look almost identical, and there’s just no excuse for such a limited shade range.
If a brand like Revolution can create 50 shades for their concealer, Essence can do better. If you are able to find a shade which matches you, the new Essence Skin Lovin Sensitive Concealer is available right now.
