Essence have launched a few new palettes as part of their spring 2020 update, including the Essence Hey LA Eyeshadow Palette. This palette is another of the travel inspired palettes that Essence first launched in the summer of 2019. There were originally four palettes in the collection; Salut Paris, Hello New York, G’Day Sidney and Ola Rio, and now this is the newest addition to that range.

Essence Hey LA Eyeshadow Palette
Inspired by Los Angles, the Essence Hey LA Eyeshadow Palette is said to be the perfect ticket to shine as brightly as the world’s top celebrities! The nine highly pigmented eyeshadows come in irresistible gold and pink shades and were inspired by the sunsets in Santa Monica and the glow of the Hollywood lights. Breathtakingly matte and intensely shimmering, they skillfully emphasize the eyes.
Directions
Best paired with Essence’s I Love Color Intensifying Eyeshadow Base, use an eyeshadow brush to pick up product and apply to your desired application area. Use the matte, neutral shades to sculpt and define the eyes. Pop shimmery shades on the lids.
Ingredients
SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE, MICA, TALC, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, dimethicone, octyldodecyl STEAROYL STEARATE, NYLON-12, polyethylene, silica, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Ethylhexylglycerin, phenoxyethanol, May Contain / [+/-]: CI 19140 (YELLOW 5 LAKE), CI 77492 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE).
The Essence Hey LA Eyeshadow Palette features nine powder eyeshadows in matte and shimmer finishes. The palette has a cardboard design, with a mirror in the lid.
All of the Essence travel series palettes feature a palette design to reflect the theme of the palette, so this palette has iconic LA imagery both on the outside of the palette and inside the palette too. It looks like there’s maybe five matte shades, and four shimmer shades inside the Essence Hey LA Eyeshadow Palette. It’s €6.99 and contains 13.5g of product.
I really like the mixture of shades in this palette, as the colours match those on the front – with pink, peach, lilac and brown shades. It’s nice that Essence haven’t just stuck a name on a palette and left it at that, as both the packaging and shades complement the LA theme and it appears to be the same for the other four travel inspired palettes too. The swatches look really pretty and pigmented, and it’ll launch into Wilko stores very soon.
