Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021
Essence is one of my favourite drugstore brands, and the Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021 is a beautiful, affordable twenty-four day advent calendar, just like their 2020 advent calendar.
Last year, Essence had two advent calendars. One of which was a DIY advent calendar, and one was a big square calendar with perforated doors. I hope there will be a DIY advent calendar this year too, as that was such a fun concept.
Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021 is different in format to anything we’ve seen previously from Essence. This year’s calendar has three pull-out drawers, and within each drawer, there are eight products hidden behind perforated doors.
It has quite a luxe vibe, which is amazing for such an affordable brand like Essence. The calendar has a sweet festive wreath design, and is completely vegan.
Essence have been moving towards making their entire product range vegan, and this calendar is 100% vegan.
Inside the Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021, there are twenty one limited edition, products which have been designed specifically for this advent calendar.
Then there are three bestselling gems, from their permanent range, so I like that the calendar offers a mix of old classics, and lots and lots of exciting new products too.
The first sneak peek inside the Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021, is the Essence Luminous Blush, which is a full size 4.5g blusher, with a stunning gold foil wreath on the lid.
Inside the compact, the pan has a beautiful raised star design, and it looks so luxe for Essence.
It’s a super pretty rose gold, which looks like a cross between Benefit Rockateur and Benefit Gold Rush, which a pretty luminous finish on the skin.
My next sneak peek within the Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021, is the Essence Eyeshadow Blender Brush.
Essence always includes a brush inside their advent calendars, and this brush is just beautiful.
This is a synthetic eyeshadow brush, with white synthetic bristles, a gold chrome ferrule, and a clear acrylic handle, featuring gold glitter particles. It’s such a pretty shadow brush, and looks so luxe for Essence.
My next Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021 sneak peek for you, is the Essence Shadow Base.
This is a square compact, with a cream eyeshadow inside, designed to be used to prep the lids, ahead of applying eyeshadow.
It can be used to prolong the longevity of your eyeshadow, as well as helping your eyeshadows to pop, once on the lid, and hopefully it means the calendar contains a palette for us.
Next up we have a lilac makeup brush cleaner, which is silicone, with different shaped nodules to help loosen makeup from your makeup brushes. These are so handy, with a suction pad for you to stick the tool to your sink.
The Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021 includes at least one lipstick, and this is the Essence Semi Matt Lipstick.
I love the matte black casing, with gold foil sparkle and a bow on the packaging, which looks so cute.
It’s a really pretty mauvey pink shade, and it’s the kind of shade which would complement every skintone, and it’s a great addition to the advent calendar.
The next product in the Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021, is the Essence Mini Nail Primer.
It’s a clear nail polish base coat, to prep your nails before applying the coloured polishes within the calendar. It is described as mini, but it’s not too mini, which is nice.

My last sneak peek from the Essence 24 Sparkling Moments of Joy Advent Calendar 2021 is the Essence Caring Lip Balm, which is infused with sweet almond oil and coconut oil, to help nourish and soften the lips.
It’s a clear lip balm, which looks to contain subtle golden shimmer. It’s the kind of lip balm which will work for everyone’s lips, with a lightweight formula, to prep the lips before applying the lispticks within the calendar.
