ELF x Chipotle Collection | March 2021

ELF revealed their brand new ELF x Chipotle Collection today, and it’s one of the most random beauty collaborations launching in 2021 so far.

Last year, ELF revealed a Chipotle collaboration, but it was basically just repromoting existing products in a silver metallic makeup bag. That ‘collaboration’ was massively popular, so the two brands have decided to collaborate once more.

Thanks to the global crisis, brands haven’t been able to have proper events, and influencer collaborations like they did in previous years. So we’ve seen the rise of many collaborations with licensed properties like Disney and Nintendo, and this collaboration is one that celebrates everything Chipotle.

Chipotle, is an American chain of fast casual restaurants across America, Canada, Germany and France specialising in tacos and Mission burritos that are made to order in front of the customer.

ELF have collaborated with Chipotle for this collection, which includes an eyeshadow palette, a cute little beauty sponge duo, as well as a lip colour. It’s set to launch on the 9th of March, if you’re part of the ELF Beauty Squad programme, or the 10th of March for general sale.

The collection:
🌶️Chipotle Eyeshadow Palette, $16: 12 eyeshadow shades inspired by the ingredients on the Chipotle line
🌶️Make it Hot Lip Gloss, $8: A fiery hot lip plumping gloss infused with lip-loving vitamin E and coconut oil
🌶️Extra Guac Face Sponge Set, $10: A 2-piece sponge set including an avocado sponge with angled and rounded sides and a mini pit sponge for those hard-to-reach areas.”

The ELF x Chipotle Collection is $16 and has a strange layout which I don’t think will be for everyone. It’s been created this way to simulate the individual taco/burrito topping trays in Chipotle, but whenever brands launch palettes with a unique pan layout, it’s definitely polarising. It’s a cardboard palette with twelve shades.

It’s such a fun collection, and whilst it won’t be for everyone. I love the shades in the palette! They look so pretty, and unique, and I just love green shadows, and hope I can get my hands on the palette before it sells out. You can find the collection right here.
