Whenever a new year starts, you always see brands launching new lip products and formulas. Usually with more hydrating, and nourishing finishes which the most of us are grateful for, during the colder months when our lips can be left looking and feeling very dry.
I hate wearing matte liquid lipsticks when our lips are feeling chapped, or particularly dry as they just never look good on dry lips. ELF have recently launched a number of new lip products, and the ELF Sheer Slick Lipstick sounds like the perfect lip product to swipe on the lips, when on the go.
ELF Sheer Slick Lipstick
The new ELF Sheer Slick Lipstick formula was inspired by lovely summer days, and the biting into juicy and delicious fruit. With a formula that melts into your lips, giving you a sheer wash of colour and a smooth hydrated finish on the lips.
Apply directly to lips in a swiping motion, starting from the middle of the lips and moving towards the corners.

The ELF Sheer Slick Lipstick is available in a total of six shades, and is currently available via both the US ELF website and UK ELF website. With ELF new launches, products tend to take a few weeks to filter through to the UK which isn’t as bad as brands like L’Oreal and Maybelline, where it can take literally months before we get to try the products for ourselves.
On the ELF US website, the ELF Sheer Slick Lipstick is £5 however it’s $5 on the US website, so it’s not fair that in the UK we pay the same number except with a £ instead of a $ rate.
A few years ago, we couldn’t even do that! ELF wasn’t even available within the UK a couple of years ago. The only way we could buy ELF was through third party sellers, or asking friends/family if they were going on holiday to the USA. I’m so glad that ELF is a lot more accessible.
The ELF Sheer Slick Lipstick is available in six juicy shades; Grapefruit, Wild Peach, Orange, Dragon Fruit, Cherry Slush and Jam or Jelly. I love the fruit theme across the shade names, and whilst there are no swatches online right now, I imagine the finish will be similar to the Revlon Lip Butters.
The formula sounds lovely and comfortable, and perfect for throwing in your handbag when you want a wash of colour. I hope they smell as amazing as their shade names sound..
