Everyone has been going crazy for liquid glitter eyeshadows, ever since the launch of the Stila Magnificent Metals Liquid Glitter Eyeshadows and ELF have launched the ELF Liquid Glitter Eyeshadows.
I’ve been waiting for them to launch their own version, as they’re one of the OG drugstore brands which featured on every beauty YouTuber’s videos circa 2010, and they’ve come a long way in the last ten years.
The ELF Liquid Glitter Eyeshadows look like they’re going to be the drugstore’s answer to the Stila Glitter and Glow Eyeshadows and I’m excited.

The ELF Liquid Glitter Eyeshadows have launched at a super affordable £5 with eight different shades, and the packaging design looks remarkably similar to the Stila glitters.
Quite a few drugstore brands have tried to replicate the Stila glitters but I don’t feel like anyone has really nailed the formula. What makes the Stila glitters so unique and popular, is how saturated with glitter they are and how they don’t cause a glitter storm on your cheeks with fallout.

ELF Liquid Glitter Eyeshadows
With a gel-based formula, the eyeshadows are long lasting, quick and drying and 100% eye catching. You can get an amped up look with one swipe glitter coverage. They’ve been formulated for comfortable wear, with minimal fallout offering fully opaque covering with high impact, multi-dimensional glitters and pearls within a quick drying gel base.
Directions
Apply to the eyelid with the applicator and blend using your fingertips or a flat eyeshadow brush. Wear alone or as an eyeshadow topper to amplify your eye look.

Without trying the new ELF Liquid Glitter Eyeshadows, I can’t tell you if the formula is comparable to the Stila glitters but the swatches do look promising.
The Stila Glitter and Glow Eyeshadows generally have an opaque coloured base, which really helps the glitter to pop and these swatches look as if they’re all opaque too.
From these swatches, the shades I’d most be looking forward to trying are Dirty Martini, Flirty Birdy and Disco Queen, but they do all look very pretty and sparkly.
They are currently an exclusive to the ELF UK website, but fingers crossed they end up in Superdrug and/or Boots very soon as I can’t wait to try them.
