ELF launched their Mint Melt Collection back in January, and the ELF Chocolate Mint Eyeshadow Palette is one of two eyeshadow palettes within the collection. The whole collection is inspired by mint chocolate ice-cream, and the two palettes are part of the ELF Bite Sized Palette range.
ELF Chocolate Mint Eyeshadow Palette
“Little compact, big impact. These high-pigment eyeshadow quads feature matte and shimmer shades in rich hues of mint and brown.
The luxe, creamy formula applies and blends with ease, then stays put to make the statement you want—whether that’s natural with a pop of mint or a decadently dramatic look.“
The two palettes within the ELF Mint Melt Collection are; ELF Chocolate Mint Eyeshadow Palette and the ELF Mint To Be Eyeshadow Palette. I bought the Chocolate Mint palette as it featured mostly neutrals with a pop of mint, whereas the Mint To Be palette is entirely greens.
The ELF Chocolate Mint Eyeshadow Palette is £4 / $4, and features four powder eyeshadows within a mini plastic compact with a clear lid.
The palette contains 4.5g of product, working out at 1.1g of shadow per pan, which is a decent amount of eyeshadow considering how small the Bite Size Palettes are.
The ELF Chocolate Mint Eyeshadow Palette contains a very muted shimmery mint, a pale gold shimmer, a warm chocolate brown matte and a dark and intense matte brown.
I was surprised by how muted the mint shade is once applied to the skin. It’s a very subtle mint shade, which looks more of a champagne shade on the lids, with a very subtle mint shift, and it does look very pretty.
I have a few of the ELF Bite Size palettes, and they’re all amazing for the price, and the ELF Chocolate Mint Eyeshadow Palette is no different, with great pigmentation and colour payoff for only £4 / $4.
