The ColourPop x Power Puff Girls Ultra Superpowers Lip Mask Kit launched in July as part of the Powerpuff Girls collaboration.
I wasn’t interested in any of the makeup products in the collection, as everything was very colourful, but I’ve enjoyed the Fourth Ray Beauty Lip Masks in the past, so I decided to pick up the lip mask set, as it sounded delicious.
ColourPop x Power Puff Girls Ultra Superpowers Lip Mask Kit
“This super sweet duo features yummy flavors vanilla chai-infused sugar and spice and funfetti-flavored everything nice. formulated with coconut oil to leave lips so soft and supple. Wake up with the softest, sweetest pout ever with this ultra-hydrating, super sweet overnight lip mask duo.”
The ColourPop x Power Puff Girls Ultra Superpowers Lip Mask Kit is $20, but the value of the two lip masks is said to be $24, as the lip masks are $12 individually.
Although, it is not possible to purchase either of the lip masks individually, so you’d have to purchase this two-piece set if you wanted to give them a try.
Inside the ColourPop x Power Puff Girls Ultra Superpowers Lip Mask Kit, you get the following two lip masks;
- Fourth Ray Beauty Sugar and Spice Overnight Lip Mask in vanilla chai
- Fourth Ray Beauty Everything Nice Overnight Lip Mask in funfetti cake
Both scents sounded delicious, and I was looking forward to trying them both. I’m the biggest ColourPop fan, but I really dislike both of these masks.
They smell nice, but they taste awful. Both scents have a bitter chemical flavour, which you can’t help but taste once they’re on the lips, especially the vanilla chai flavour, it’s actually horrible.
I appreciate that’s very harsh, but they taste so bad, I can’t use them. They also feel very greasy too, so they’re unpleasant to use, and the horrible taste isn’t something I can overlook, so they’re a disappointment, unfortunately.
