The ColourPop x Hello Kitty Tropical Escape Collection has been revealed as the latest collaboration for ColourPop. ColourPop last teamed up with Sanrio and Hello Kitty with their winter themed Hello Kitty and Friends collection, which launched back in December.
This new collection is all about the summer vibes, so it’s kinda cute that they’ve created both a Hello Kitty Colour Pop winter themed collection, and now a summer themed Hello Kitty Color Pop collection too.
Any Hello Kitty Colourpop going to be a hit, regardless of the theme, and ColourPop only launched their Barbie collaboration last month, so it’s exciting to see yet another licensed ColourPop Sanrio collab so soon.
The ColourPop x Hello Kitty Tropical Escape Collection is set to launch on this coming Thursday the 17th of June at 10am PST on the ColourPop website, and the Colourpop Hello Kitty Collection is the perfect summery collection with both fun colourful Colourpop X Hello Kitty packaging and shades too.
First up in the ColourPop x Hello Kitty Tropical Escape Collection is the ColourPop x Hello Kitty Glowing Lip Balm Set, which contains three summery Colourpop Hello Kitty lip balms.
Each of the balms within the Hello Kitty Makeup Collection have bright yellow packaging, with hot pink Hello Kitty faces and flowers all over them.
The three shades inside the pack are; Hello Fruity, Tropic Cute and Fun In The Sun. Within the set, you get a hot pink, a peachy coral and a nude shade, and they’re retractable wind up lip balms to give your lips a balmy, hint of colour and a pretty sheen making the Colour Pop Hello Kitty Lip Balms perfect for the beach or by the pool.
To use before applying your Hello Kitty balms, the ColourPop x Hello Kitty Tropical Escape Collection also includes the ColourPop x Hello Kitty Pineapple Pop Lippie Scrub, which sounds absolutely delicious.
I love the ColourPop Lippie Scrubs, as they’re sugar based lip scrubs which do a great job at sloughing away any dry skin on the lips, and help to prep the lips prior to applying your lip colours of choice.
This version of the Lippie Scrub has a pineapple scent and taste, and comes in a cute, sunshine yellow jar, with a big winking Hello Kitty face on the lid, and it’s the product I’m most looking forward to trying from the whole collection.
The next products within the ColourPop x Hello Kitty Tropical Escape Collection are for the face, and it’s the ColourPop x Hello Kitty Pressed Powder Blushers, and there’s two shades to choose from.
They each come in super bright yellow or teal cardboard packaging, and the two shades are Aloha Honey and Island Shine. ColourPop fans have been desperate for some brighter blush shades which would work for deeper complexions, and the two blush shades are both very bright.
They both appear to be matte, and one’s a deep fuchsia, and the other is a bright coral. The bright shades complement the bright packaging, and they do both look very summery!
What makes them even cuter is that they both have an imprinted pan design. One features the iconic Hello Kitty bow on the pan, and the other is a Hello Kitty face.
As far as ColourPop collections go, the ColourPop x Hello Kitty Tropical Escape Collection is quite a small collection, but of course, the last products within the collection are eye palettes.
There are four eyeshadow palettes within this collection, and they’re all quads, with the same layout and format as the eyeshadow quads within the Animal Crossing collection back at the start of the year.
Each of the quads have packaging to complement the shades inside, with the palette names being Cherry Sweet which is a pink themed quad, Coco Cutie which is a blue themed palette, Teenie Kini is an orange themed quad, and Pineapple Cake is a yellow themed quad.
Each of the four palettes within the ColourPop x Hello Kitty Tropical Escape Collection are small, and the shades in each palette include a mix of finishes too, with at least one matte shade.
One matte shade in each quad has a pan design too, which is very cute. The quads each have a different summery themed picture of Hello Kitty, with polka dots all over the packaging, and they really do look adorable.
- Cherry Sweet Palette: Lemonade / Hibiscus / Yummy / Soda Crush
- Teenie Kini Palette: Beachy / Hula Hoop / Itsy Bitsy / Sand Castle
- Pineapple Cake Palette: Sandy / La Piña / To The Core / So Sweet
- Coco Cutie Palette: Lovely Luau / Shaved Ice / Bay Breeze / Hang Ten
