ColourPop have made thousands of their fans extremely happy today by announcing the ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection on their social media channels, for their Halloween collection.
Whenever ColourPop announce a Disney collaboration, it gets thousands of likes and the announcement post on the ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection has over 108,000 likes in just five hours.
ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection
ColourPop are the best at licensed collaborations. They don’t make half hearted collections like Revolution did with their Friends collab, with shades and names which didn’t seem relevant.
ColourPop always put in a lot of thought into every single element from the outer boxes, to the products themselves with the shades and the names too.
You can tell their collections have been designed with the Disney team, and the ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection is very exciting.
Many brands do Halloween collections, but it’s the same stuff over and over. There’s fake blood and a face paint palette, but what would make the best Halloween makeup collection? A collaboration with arguably the best Halloween movie that has ever been made.
What is Hocus Pocus?
According to Wiki, Hocus Pocus is described as the following;
“Hocus Pocus is a 1993 American fantasy-comedy film directed by Kenny Ortega and written by Neil Cuthbert and Mick Garris.
The film stars Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, with Omri Katz, Thora Birch, and Vinessa Shaw in supporting roles.
The film follows a villainous comedic trio of witches who are inadvertently resurrected by a teenage boy in Salem, Massachusetts, on Halloween night.“
ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection Launch Details
The ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection will be launching on the 4th of October at ULTA RIGHT HERE, and it’s a fully licensed Disney collection.
ColourPop have now revealed the products within the collection, and I’m in love already! There are a total of twelve products in the collection, and I have all the details you need on the ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection.
I guessed ColourPop would launch at least one palette, or maybe a palette for each of the three Sanderson sisters.
Something themed around the Black Flame Candle – maybe a highlighter? But it appears there’s one palette, themed around all three sisters;
This is a fifteen pan eyeshadow palette with an amazing black and orange foil design, with the Black Flame Candle on both the box and on the palette too.
The inside of the palette looks like a spell sheet, with a discoloured effect with faint writing like a spell. It’s such a fab design, and inside the lid there’s an illustration of all three sisters.
ColourPop have included a mix of finishes within the ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection Eyeshadow Palette, with matte, shimmer and metallic finishes. There’s a mix of tones too, with a nice ratio of mattes to shimmers.
- Full Moon
- Hello, Salem
- Brew Potion
- Oh Toast
- Come Little Children
- Tis’ Firm
- Thackery Bink
- I Call It A Bus
- Night of Frolic
- Dead Man’s Toe
- Goodbye Cruel World
The ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection has three lip kits – one for all three sisters; Winifred, Sarah, and Mary. Whilst all have similar lip colours, each of the three lip kits have a lip liner pencil and a lipstick too.
You can purchase them as lip kits for $11
You can purchase the lipsticks individually for $7
You can purchase the lip pencils individually for $5
The lipsticks even have a spider detail embossed into them, which is so cool. The lip kits are all variations of red, just like the lip colours the three sisters wear in the movie;
- I Smell Children
- I Put A Spell On You
- I Am Beautiful
The liners and lipsticks have black packaging, with white spooky illustrations all over them. The boxes are amazing too, there’s the hair outline of each sister on the box of each lip kit too. I love that ColourPop cares about the finer details.
Next up in the ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection there’s three sets of false lashes, with one set of lashes for each of the three sisters, which is genius as the sisters all had very distinct and different lashes. Each of the three lashes are packaged within a cute little box.
The three lash styles are;
- Flirty Witch
- Boss Witch
- Clever Witch
In addition to the lashes, there’s three ColourPop x Disney Creme Gel Liner Eyeliner Pencils in all very Halloween-inspired shades. They’re retractable liner pencils, and they look very metallic and creamy, making them perfect for the waterline;
Looking at how amazing the Disney, Disney Princesses and Disney Frozen collaborations were, it was obvious that the ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection was going to be amazing.
Whenever a brand launches a Disney collaboration, there’s always a lot of pressure for the brand to pull it off, but this collection is just amazing with perfect shades, and packaging designs.
The last two products in the ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection are two shades of the ColourPop Glitterally Obsessed Glitter Gels which have amazing packaging.
There’s an illustration of a black cat on the lids of the jars, and the boxes have the cat too. The two shades of the Glitterally Obsessed Gels are;
- Another Glorious Morning – gold, peach and silver glitter
- Amok, Amok, Amok, Amok! – purple, red, blue, silver and pink glitter
The ColourPop x Disney Hocus Pocus Collection is an incredible collection, and they have just nailed it. Whenever Halloween is nearing, the Hocus Pocus memes begin to surface, and it’s just such a popular movie.
Whichever beauty brand that was going to collaborate with the Hocus Pocus entity had a lot of pressure but everything about this collection is perfect in my opinion, and the fact that it’s affordable makes it even more amazing!
