The ColourPop Sunflower Collection has been unveiled as the newest ColourPop collection, and is set to launch tomorrow (20th of August). Due to the global crisis, ColourPop had to put a halt on their new collections, and now production is beginning to return to normal, brands like ColourPop are able to get back to launching collections. ColourPop evidently have a lot of catching up to do because we’ve seen SO many new collections in the last few weeks.
ColourPop Sunflower Collection
We’ve seen the launch of the Candyland collection, QT Mark Face Stamps, Garden Variety Collection, Wild Nothing Collection and Freckle Pens in the last three weeks alone. There’s obviously a lot of catching up to do, so lots of exciting new collections coming our way.
The ColourPop Sunflower Collection is a super cute, summery collection themed around yes, you guessed it, sunflowers. This new sunflower themed collection consists of the following products;
- ColourPop Lil Ray of Sunshine All Matte Shadow Palette
- ColourPop Super Shock Shadows x 2
- ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip Glosses x 2
- ColourPop x Sol Body Dry Shimmer Oil
- ColourPop x Fourth Ray Beauty Glow Up Face Oil
- ColourPop Crème Gel Eyeliners x 2
The ColourPop Lil Ray of Sunshine All Matte Shadow Palette $14 is a beautiful nine pan eyeshadow palette, with an all matte line-up with pretty yellows and browns, for the sunflower theme. There have been mentions that the palette is similar to their Uh-Huh Honey Golden Yellow Palette, but that palette is much brighter than this palette.
These are deeper, more mustard tones rather than straight up sunshine yellows. Also that palette contains mixed formulas, whereas the Lil Ray of Sunshine All Matte Shadow Palette contains nine all matte shades.
sun’s out: pale pastel yellow
vitamin d: light yellow
happy place: pale lemon yellow
blissed out: midtone mustard yellow
sunnies: vibrant marigold
vibey: golden honey yellow
limoncello: warm apricot
chillin’: warm chestnut
sun giant: chocolate brown
“Brighten up your look with our first ever all matte, 9-pan eyeshadow palette! With a range of fun yellows and wearable warm toned shades, you won’t be able to put this palette down!“
Next up in the ColourPop Sunflower Collection are the Sunflower Creme Gel Liners, with one yellow shade and one dark brown shade. The packaging is adorable, with little white sunflowers all over the lid.
The two shades are;
- Sub Zero – metallic yellow
- Sunnyvale – chestnut brown
“The same pigmentation and long-lasting, transfer-proof wear of our Crème Gel Colour Eyeliner in a pencil!“
The next item in the ColourPop Sunflower Collection is the Fourth Ray Beauty Glow Up Face Oil 14ml, which looks to have a subtle yellow hue within the bottle but is designed to impart a gorgeous glow to the skin.
“Who doesn’t love a good glow? Formulated with Maracuja, Prickly Pear, Jojoba, and Vitamin C, Glow Up is loaded with antioxidants and vitamins for the ultimate radiant, lit-from-within complexion.“
If you love shimmer, you’ll love the Sol Body Dry Shimmer Oil. It’s a super shimmery body oil to leave the skin amazingly soft, but also with a summery sheen too. With a pump dispenser, it’s also easy to dispense too.
The shade in the ColourPop Sunflower Collection is; “Lemon Drop” which is described as being a glimmering soft yellow gold.
“it’s that friday feeling in a bottle. delivers a shimmering, good-for-the-sol glow that nourishes skin and highlights your highlights.“
The ColourPop Soak Up The Sun Super Shock Shadow Duo are the next beautiful product within the ColourPop Sunflower Collection. I absolutely love their Super Shock Shadows, and this is a duo set with one yellow gold shade, and one that looks like a pretty taupe. They also have sunflower patterns on the packaging like the Crème Liners.
The two shades are;
- In Harmony – yellow gold
- Flower Child – champagne gold
“Sunny days ahead with this ultra metallic shadow duo! Top off your look with a fun pop of sunshine with our iconic Super Shock Shadows!“
Then the last product within the ColourPop Sunflower Collection are two gorgeous ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip Glosses, both of which have a shimmer finish. One looks to be a peachy pink, whereas the other is a light peach, and both are perfect summer glosses.
The ColourPop Sunflower Collection includes two shades of gloss;
- Sun Soaked – warm pale nude with golden pinpoints
- Always Sunny – sheer with golden pinpoints
“Glass-like shine with subtle shimmer and sheer tint. Enriched with jojoba oil to moisturize, nourish, and and provide a cushiony feel for juicy, fuller-looking lips.”
This ColourPop Sunflower Collection couldn’t be more perfect for summer. It’s such a bright and fun collection, with adorable packaging. I like that all of the boxes have sunflowers all over them, and that there’s mini sunflowers on nearly all of the products within the collection too.
It is a little strange that the promotional imagery has some sunflowers, but there’s also random yellow flowers which aren’t sunflowers. You’d think they’d use sunflowers considering the whole collection is themed around sunflowers. Random yellow flowers (possibly marguerite daisies or yellow daisies) aside, it’s a lovely collection and will be available right here.
