The ColourPop Sol Body Face and Body Makeup has been revealed as the latest launch for Sol Body, which is ColourPop’s body brand. We’ve seen Sol Body launch a few summer inspired launches lately, with the launch of a mistake-proof tan and a gradual self tanner too, to help us get our skin summer ready.
ColourPop Sol Body Face and Body Makeup
Face and body foundations are everywhere right now, with most brands seemingly launching their own version. We only saw Revolution launch their Face & Body Veil Foundation last week, and we’re guaranteed to see more face and body foundations over the coming weeks in the run up to summer.
The ColourPop Sol Body Face and Body Makeup is a foundation designed to be used both on the face and the body, and comes in a large 88ml / 3 fl.oz matte plastic tube, with a flip top cap.
In addition to the foundation, Sol Body has also launched a specific blending brush to use with the foundation, and both the brush and foundation will be launching very soon.
The ColourPop Sol Body Face and Body Makeup is described as being a multitasking foundation, which has been created to help you enhance your natural beauty from head to toe.
It offers a creamy formula, which is infused with light diffusing powders to give you uniform coverage, and an even, perfected finish that lasts all day.
There are twelve shades to choose from, and the formula offers a medium yet buildable coverage when applied to the face and body. It has a transfer resistant, natural soft matte finish, and the formula has been infused with coconut water, papaya extract and vitamin E to hydrate the skin.
The ColourPop Sol Body Face and Body Makeup is available in the following twelve shades;
- Fair 2
- Fair 4
- Light 6
- Light 8
- Medium 10
- Medium 12
- Medium Dark 14
- Medium Dark 16
- Dark 18
- Dark 20
- Deep Dark 22
- Deep Dark 24
Looking at the shade range, they’re not great. There isn’t a fair shade which I could use, and it would suit light skintones at a push, then there’s five shades which would suit medium skin, and three which would suit richer skintones.
I think it’s impressive how deep the shades go, but the lighter shade spectrum needs to be seriously padded out. Revolution just launched 15 shades, and two of them are pale, so their shade range is better.
However, I envisage ColourPop extending the shade range, as they’ve numbered the shades in increments of two, so hopefully we’ll see more shades in the near future. If you’ve been looking for an affordable face and body foundation, the ColourPop Sol Body Face and Body Makeup will be available right here.
