The ColourPop Neon Electric Lux Lip Oils launched in June as part of the Neon Electric collection, and the collection had so much negativity on social media when it was first announced. People were gutted the collection was neon enough, as they’d hoped everything would be as neon as the Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions collection.

To reveal the collection, ColourPop did some sneak peeks of neon things, which got everyone excited about an entire neon, colourful collection.
However, the collection was more neutral with pops of neon, which makes sense, they are Colour POP after all. I thought the collection was beautiful, and wearable, and I ordered the full collection.
“this super nourishing lip oil is perfect for a sheer kiss of colour. infused with a lip-loving blend of antioxidant rich chamomile & calendula oils, this lightweight gel-oil formula leaves your lips kissably soft!“
The ColourPop Neon Electric Lux Lip Oils are designed to give you a sheer kiss of colour with this nourishing lip oil packed with antioxidant rich Chamomile and Calendula oils. Each of the shades is $8, and the tubes are chunky with 4.60g (0.16oz) of product.
Included within the ColourPop Neon Electric Lux Lip Oils collection are three different shades of neon lip oil. Each of the tubes have clear plastic tubes, with nude coloured lids.
The doefoot applicators are a little unique compared to the average doefoot applicator, with a flattened design, which does a nice job at evenly applying the lip oil.
The three shades of the ColourPop Neon Electric Lux Lip Oils are;
- Cosmic Clique – neon magenta
- Hot Spark – neon coral
- Pink Circuit – neon cool pink
All three shades are definitely neon, and they stain a lot. Even with a light layer, all three shades stain the lips for over eight hours, which is seriously impressive for a lip oil, but you’re going to want to wear the product all day long, as nothing removes it once it’s on the lips, except time.
Cosmic Clique is the longest wearing shade from the three, and they’re such beautiful glossy lip stains. They don’t feel overly hydrating like other ColourPop Lux Lip Oils I’ve tried, so I’d say they’re more of a lip stain than they are lip oils. I can’t think of another brand that offers neon lip stains like these, so for that alone, they’re amazing for the price.
