ColourPop have had some great sales recently, and I ordered the ColourPop Merci Bouquet Super Shock Shadow Duo after having it on my wish list for quite a while now. It’s always sold out as it’s so popular, so when I saw it available during their recent 30% sale, it had to be mine.
ColourPop Merci Bouquet Super Shock Shadow Duo
The first ColourPop product I ever tried was a Super Shock Shadow, and whilst it’s such an overused term, I have genuinely been obsessed with them ever since. They have the most amazing formula, which is soft to touch, almost like a cream shadow. However, they apply and blend out like a powder.
They tend to contain multidimensional shimmer or glitter, and if I had to choose one eyeshadow formula to use going forward, it would be the Super Shock Shadows.
I love my beautiful big palettes, but whenever I’m not feeling very creative eye makeup inspiration wise, I reach for my sizeable Super Shock Shadow collection, and I’m never disappointed.
The ColourPop Merci Bouquet Super Shock Shadow Duo is $10 and contains two full sized Super Shock Shadows, in the prettiest floral box and sleeve.
They launched back in spring of last year as part of the Making Mauves collection, and they’ve been a nightmare to track down, but the wait was most definitely worth it.
“Create a whole look with this Super Shock Shadow Duo. Pale lavender and warm plum glittery shadows are so easy to wear alone, together, or over your fave palette look.”
Inside the ColourPop Merci Bouquet Super Shock Shadow Duo, you get two different shades, and they’re both housed within lilac coloured Super Shock Shadow pots. They’re usually white, so it’s always nice to see new special edition shades.
Inside the ColourPop Merci Bouquet Super Shock Shadow Duo, you get the following shades;
- daytrippin’: pale lavender with pinpoints of silver and blue pearl
- bloomer: warm plum loaded with silver pearl
Daytrippin’ is the prettiest metallic lilac, and Bloomer is a deeper dark plum. Both shades work perfectly together, and they’re stunning.
My favourite in the duo would have to be Daytrippin’ as the multicoloured sparkle really pops on the lids. I really wish ColourPop would launch new Super Shock Shadow shades more frequently, as they’re amazing.
