The ColourPop Limoncello Eyeshadow Palette launched as part of the ColourPop Limoncello Collection which launched back at the beginning of March. It is a beautiful collection, but I didn’t feel compelled to purchase anything as soon as it launched.
However, after seeing lots of real life swatches, I knew I wanted to try the palette, two of the cream eyeshadow sticks and one of the cream blushes from the collection.
ColourPop Limoncello Eyeshadow Palette
“Living la dolce vita! Inspired by dreamy spring days and freshly squeezed lemons for the perfect limoncello, our newest 12-pan palette features richly pigmented matte and metallic shadows in fun and vibrant shades. Create a bright and fresh look perfect for cruisin’ down the coast or a sunny picnic escape!“
The ColourPop Limoncello Eyeshadow Palette is $18, and features twelve powder shadows within a cardboard style palette, with a mirror inside the lid.
The whole Limoncello collection has an amazing yellow and blue colour story to the packaging, which is giving me Mediterranean vibes, with the mosaic inspired packaging designs.
The ColourPop Limoncello Eyeshadow Palette is such a beautiful palette, and I knew it was from the first photos which were shared, alongside the other products within the Limoncello collection.
However, it was only when I saw swatches which had been done in the sunlight, that I started to lust after the palette. The shimmers looked unique, and the mattes looked to be amazing too.
Inside the ColourPop Limoncello Eyeshadow Palette there are seven matte shades and five shimmer shades. Usually with ColourPop palettes, you get more shimmers than you do mattes, so this palette is a little different to the typical ColourPop palette launches.
- tuscan fun: matte mid-tone brown
- fly girl: metallic tangerine
- easy peasy: metallic dirty olive
- limone squeezy: matte warm ginger
- touring: warm metallic champagne
- amalfi: matte canary yellow
- serenade: pale metallic lemon
- capri: metallic deep lime
- the grotto: matte deep terracotta
- semifreddo: matte neutral suede
- vespa: rich matte charcoal brown
- la festa: matte dusty denim
I really hope my swatches do this palette justice. If you cover the blue shade up, it’s a warm toned brown, yellow and gold palette. The shimmers in this palette are my favourite, but the mattes are really nice too.
I really love when ColourPop includes duochrome shades in their palettes, and Capri is an amazing gold, which looks green in different lights. Using this palette makes me think of summer, and I don’t think you could feel anything other than happy when using these shades as they’re so summery. It’s a beauty of a palette, and it’s available right here.
