There’s always one holiday collection I look forward to seeing every year, and it has to be the ColourPop Amoureux Holiday Collection. It’s always amazing, and one of my favourite Christmas collections each year.
I did wonder whether this year’s ColourPop holiday collection would be a collaboration, as ColourPop loves a collaboration, but it’s not a collab this year.
ColourPop Amoureux Holiday Collection 2020
This year’s collection is themed around romance, and there are twelve different products within the collection. The packaging is burgundy and gold colour themed, with gold foil accents, and everything looks truly beautiful.
Everything gives me Moroccan vibes, I don’t know why? I think it’s maybe the colours inside the palettes, but it’s not particularly festive. I think it’s a really pretty collection, but to me, it looks like it’s more of a fall collection than a holiday collection.
The ColourPop Amoureux Holiday Collection includes the following products;
- ColourPop Boudoir Noir Shadow Palette
- ColourPop Menage A Muah Shadow Palette
- ColourPop Lux Lip Oils x 4 shades
- ColourPop Glitterally Obsessed Glitter Gels x 2
- ColourPop Pressed Powder Blush x 2
The two palettes include one that’s golden themed with some really pretty warm toned shades, and the other palettes is all about the rosy tones, with a cooler theme overall. They’re both really pretty palettes, and I need the rosy toned palette in my life for sure!
Then there’s four new shades of their Lux Lip Oil formula, which are all nude shades to complement the shades in the two palettes. The two powder blushes both look quite glittery, but again, they’ve been created to complement each of the two shadow palettes.
Lastly we have the two new shades of the Glitterally Obsessed. I’m just not a fan of pressed glitters, and who in reality is able to wear glitter gels on their body right now with the global crisis?
I think it would have been better to see highlighters or glitter eyeliners instead of more glitter gels, but that’s just my personal opinion. It’s a lovely collection, but just not anything special like most ColourPop collections tend to be.
