Collection has had somewhat of a rebranding, and the Collection Matte & Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow Duos are just one of their new launches.
They’ve launched a whole load of new products, with new packaging too, with products for the lips, eyes, face and nails too. If you’d like to find out more, keep on reading….
Collection Matte & Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow Duos
In terms of drugstore beauty brands, Collection are one of the most boring brands compared to the likes of Revolution as they only launched products once or twice a year.
They didn’t really launch anything exciting, but I have to say, their new rebrand has definitely piqued my interest, and I had to try some of their latest launches to see what they were like.
As soon as I saw the Collection Matte & Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow Duos, I knew they were trying to imitate the Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Liquid Eyeshadows. Collection haven’t even been inventive with the name.. they just took of three letters, and used identical packaging.
I know Revolution are known for doing this, but Revolution do offer different packaging designs when copying a higher end product, but the Collection Matte & Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow Duos literally look identical to the Huda Beauty version.
“When your metallic meets her matte! A dreamy liquid duo with pigment that packs a punch. Two complementary shadows, one soft matte and one metallic. Available in Nude/Gold, Pink/Rose & Taupe/bronze hues.
The dual-ended shadow includes a soft matte that glides onto the lid using the doefoot applicator and dries down to a powder finish.
Then, it’s time to get your glitter game on with the metallic shade. Add all sorts of glitter dimension with the precision brush, enabling the shadow to work as a glitter topper, liner or to help define that cut crease.“
The Collection Matte & Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow Duos are dual ended liquid eyeshadows. On one end there’s a matte cream eyeshadow with a flat doefoot applicator, and the opposite end houses a shimmery cream eyeshadow with a fine liner brush applicator.
The format is absolutely identical to the Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Eyeshadows. Even the components are identical, although the Collection version is £4.99, and the Huda version is £22.
Huda Beauty have many shades to choose from, but the Collection Matte & Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow Duos is only available in three shades. The three duos in the Collection version are;
- Golden Sands & Boujee Beaches – matte nude, metallic gold
- Roof Taupe Bar & Skyline – matte taupe, metallic bronze
- Pink Skies & One Way Ticket – matte pink, metallic rose gold
The formula of the Collection Matte & Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow Duos really surprised me. Many brands have created their own version of liquid eyeshadows, and the matte/shimmer liquid shadow duos, and none come close to the Huda Beauty version, apart from these.
They’re really, really good and the formula is very comparable to the Huda Beauty version, and I would describe them as being an amazing dupe, and they’re only £5 each. My favourite duo from the three shades would have to be Pink Skies & One Way Ticket, but they’re all very pretty, and are available right now.
