The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is such an iconic concealer which has been around for at least fifteen years. If you’ve read blogs for a good eight to ten years, you will have seen this concealer feature in endless beauty favourites and it’s been the somewhat benchmark for comparing the formulas of drugstore concealers.
I’ve tried endless concealers over the years, but I always come back to the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer as it’s such a great concealer.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I’ve featured the Collection Concealer numerous times on my main blog over the years, and whilst the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is a great, long lasting concealer, the shade range has been pathetic – for years.
In the beginning of 2018, Collection did launch a couple of new shades, but compared to the Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer with 50 shades, their shade range has been really poor.
However, Collection started the year with a bang with the launch of a revamped shade range and revamped packaging too. There are now twenty shades to choose from, and the price hasn’t changed which is fab.
Sometimes brands like to up the price when they improve a product, but the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is still £4.19.
“The ultimate 16 hour wear concealer is now available in new perfect skin-matching shades.
The vegan formula is buildable, blendable and effortlessly covers and conceals blemishes and dark circles for a flawlessly smooth base. The lightweight liquid concealer glides onto the skin easily with a doe foot applicator.
Pair with one of Collection’s Lasting Perfection Foundation shades, now formulated to perfectly match each concealer shade, making it easier to shop your base than ever before.“
The lightest shade of the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is now Rose Porcelain 1 which is said to work for those “very fair skin tones with a slight yellow undertone” but I actually think it’s quite neutral rather than being yellow toned. It works well for me, which I never expected.
You can’t see the blend lines between my bare skin, and the concealer which is ultimately what you need with a concealer. If you’ve never tried the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, it’s such a great long lasting concealer with great coverage too.
It can look a little drying on blemishes that are on the way out, but it’s the best concealer under £5 so it’s fab that there’s now a much more diverse shade range.
