The Clarins Bronzing Compact Summer 2021 edition caught my eye the minute it launched, as the packaging was so bright and colourful, and nothing like the bronzers we’ve seen Clarins launch previously.
Every summer, Clarins launches a new edition of their Bronzing Compact. It always features a new design, pattern and packaging, but it always has multiple shades of bronzer within the pan, and the Clarins Bronzing Compact Summer 2021 edition is no different.

Clarins Bronzing Compact Summer 2021
The Clarins summer bronzers are always super popular every single year, and there’s always a lot of anticipation ahead of the launch to see what the year’s design will be like, and this year’s Clarins Sunkissed Healthy Glow Powder Bronzer has to be my favourite bronzer design they’ve ever done.
“This gradient bronzing powder in 3 matte shades guarantees a healthy glow. Whether used individually or combined together, it enhances and cares for all skin tones, leaving a natural, healthy glow. The gradient of 3 matte shades can be used individually or combined together on the face.“
The Clarins Bronzing Compact Summer 2021 is housed within a beautiful, brightly coloured compact, with a teal translucent, large plastic compact and a pink, yellow and orange printed design on the lid.
Half of the design is a watermelon, and half of the design is a kiwi, and this fun fruity design carries through to the pan’s design too.
Clarins typically go for a brown or gold design for their iconic summer bronzers every year, so this fun and brightly coloured version is very different for them as a brand, and I love it, and imagine many Clarins fans will too.
The Clarins Bronzing Compact Summer 2021 contains 18g / 0.6 oz, and the formula is enriched with a plant micro-patch that binds water to the surface of the skin, helping to protect against dehydration, and the Clarins Anti-Pollution Complex, designed to shield the skin from the harmful effects of pollution.
The Clarins Bronzing Compact Summer 2021, like every year, features multiple shades of bronzer within the one pan. This year’s edition has an amazing split pan design, with a section having a raised watermelon seed design, and one section having a raised kiwi design.
Then the centre strip, which is the latest bronzer shade is completely smooth, with the Clarins logo in the centre. In total, the Clarins Bronzing Compact Summer 2021 has three different shades of bronzer within the one pan.
However, the three strips are large enough that you can actually concentrate your brush (carefully) in each section individually, or of course, blend all three or two together for a custom shade.
The Clarins Bronzing Compact Summer 2021 has a light warm toned bronzer section in the centre, a medium cool toned bronzer on the watermelon side, and a deep warm toned bronzer on the kiwi side of the pan. All three sections are completely matte, with no overspray designs, like previous Clarins Summer Bronzer designs.
I had to show you swatches of all three individual strips, and then the shade when you blend the three strips together, and it’s amazing to see how many shades of bronzer you can achieve with this one bronzer.
I love that you can choose whether you want a mainly cool bronze, or a mainly warm bronze effect to the skin, and can use the cooler shade as a contour, and then use the warmer strip for an overall warming up of the skin.
All three strips are super soft and smooth, and have a buttery formula which blends effortlessly with both synthetic and natural bristled bronzer brushes. It never looks muddy, even on my super pale skin, and it’s a stunning bronzer.
Something else I noticed, the pan doesn’t have any scent whatsoever, however when swatched, I can detect a watermelon scent which was a fun surprise.
It doesn’t smell at all in the pan, but there is perfume in the ingredients list, so it was obviously intentional, and a nice bonus to a beautiful summery bronzer. It is a limited edition design, so won’t be around for long, but you can find it right here.
