There are so many beauty collaborations right now, and the Ciate x Disney Edna Mode Collection has been unveiled as being the latest beauty themed Disney collab.
We’ve seen numerous licensed collaborations in May already, with Urban Decay, MAC, ColourPop, HipDot and Hot Topic launching or announcing collabs in the last eleven days alone.
Ciate x Disney Edna Mode Collection
Ciate have dabbled with collaborations in the past, with a Jessica Rabbit collection and Miss Piggy collection too, and now they’ve collaborated with Disney Pixar for this small, limited edition collection.
The Ciate x Disney Edna Mode Collection has been created to honour Edna Mode from The Incredibles movie. It’s described as being ‘simple, elegant, yet bold’ with just four products, so it’s quite a small collection compared to most Disney collaborations.
All of the products have a colourful pop art vibe to them, and the collection has had a mixed response on social media. If you love Edna Mode and/or The Incredibles and Disney, I feel like you’ll really appreciate the Ciate x Disney Edna Mode Collection, and it’s set to launch on the 13th of May.
The first product within the Ciate x Disney Edna Mode Collection is the Ciate x Disney Edna Mode Face and Cheek Palette. It has cardboard packaging, with four pop art Edna poses in each corner.
Inside this palette, there are two large powder blushers and a total of six powder eyeshadows. Both of the blushers look very similar, and appear to be peach shades, but the shadows are divided into a warm toned trio and a cool toned trio.
Next up in the Ciate x Disney Edna Mode Collection, is the Ciate x Edna Mode Pressed Lip Powder. This is a strangely unique product, and it’s a deep purple toned plum shade.
It looks like a powder blusher, but it’s supposedly a powder which you can apply to the lips, but I guess you could apply it to your cheeks too, if you wanted to of course.
The last two products within the Ciate x Disney Edna Mode Collection are retractable eyeliner pencils. There are two shades to choose from, and they’re colourful to complement the colourful pop art theme of the packaging.
One of the eyeliners appears to be a bright coral, and the other is a turquoise, and they’re said to have a gel eyeliner formula. They’re both bright, and would be great for summery makeup looks.
In each of the two eyeshadow trios, there’s a bright coral and then a bright turquoise which match the shades of the two gel eyeliner pencils, so it’s great they match.
