CeraVe is one of my favorite skincare brands, so I’m always excited by their new launches, so the new CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is a very exciting launch.
Plus, it’s a brand new sunscreen to join the rest of their many SPF skincare products. If you’d like to find out all about this new sunscreen, keep on reading…
CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30
The CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is an exciting launch for CeraVe, as it’s their first ever mineral/chemical hybrid sunscreen, which can be used on both the face and body.
CeraVe have developed this new sunscreen with dermatologists, combining mineral and chemical sun filters, to help effectively reflect and absorb the sun’s damaging UV rays.
This sunscreen combines zinc oxide with chemical sun filters, to give us the benefits of using a mineral sunscreen, but with the cosmetic elegance often found in chemical sunscreens.
Mineral sunscreens can leave the skin feeling super greasy, chalky and with a very noticeable white cast, which is problematic for many skintones, as it leaves the skin looking very ashy.
CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is described as being a multi-benefit sunscreen, that helps protect you from the sun’s harmful rays while also delivering instant hydration that lasts all day long.
The CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 for Face & Body features an ultra-lightweight fluid-like formula, which goes on white, when first applied, to act as a guide on application, ensuring you’re applying the sunscreen effectively all over the skin.
However, the sunscreen is absorbed within seconds for a non-greasy finish, making it perfect for wearing under your makeup. It’s a hydrating sunscreen formula, which claims to leave the skin feeling comfortable, velvety-soft, and smooth to the touch.
When applied to the face, the CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 for Face & Body helps prime your skin for makeup, creating an even base for your makeup products, as it doesn’t pill or ball up when products are applied over the top, which is amazing.
The new CeraVe sunscreen claims to not transfer onto your clothes, it won’t run into your eyes, and nor will it move around once you sweat, allowing you to enjoy your time in the sun, without having to worry about your sunscreen.

For the body, apply 1 ounce, approximately the size of a golf ball, and again, blend until fully absorbed.
