I fell in love with the By Terry Brightening CC Palette Illuminating Color Correcting Powder, the minute I saw it. The By Terry Brightening CC Palette is just one product from their Summer collection, isn’t she a beauty?
You guys are loving By Terry right now, with my post on the new Hydra Foundation being one of my most read posts in the month of March. If you’d like to find out all about this new By Terry Brightening CC Palette, keep on reading.
By Terry Brightening CC Palette
First things first, how stunning is the packaging? By Terry certainly know how to pull luxe packaging out of the bag, and this new cheek palette is definitely luxe. So what is this palette all about?
It’s basically an all in one cheek palette, offering brightening powder, colour corrector and cheek highlighters in one. The powders are said to be illuminating, with a skincare infused formula that is enriched with Rose extracts.
The Palette is £42 and contains four generously sized powders with a combined weight of 9 grams. The powders are housed within the prettiest, metallic rose gold compact and each of the four powders feature a raised rose design which looks super pretty.
The top of the By Terry Brightening CC Palette compact features a beautiful coral, pink, orange and black floral design. It’s so colourful but pretty too.

By Terry claim this palette has been created to give your skin its glow back, correcting any fullness. Featuring ‘optical glow’ technology, and the skincare benefits of rose hip oil, minimising imperfections, intensifying the skin’s radiance, neutralising redness and creating a flawless finish in one.
N°1 Champagne blush – an illuminating pearl shade to highlight the high points of the complexion.
N°2 Pink petal – the natural tea-rose pink illuminates washed-out, ashy looking skin with healthy pink undertones, also can be used to highlight darker complexions.
N°3 Vibrant rose – the rich ‘just-pinched’ hue lifts and livens cheeks with a pink dewy freshness.
N°4 Desert sparkle – the gold-flecked, sandy bronze lightens and evens out darker skin tones or creates a beautiful bronzed finish.
Application Tips
- This versatile quad can be applied with a powder brush all over the face to enhance or substitute your foundation, or just buffed on for a more sculpted effect.
- Use N°4 to contour the hollows of the face or use N°2 or N°3 to add a rosy flush to the apples of the cheeks.
- N°1 can be used to highlight areas where the light naturally falls including cheekbones, brow bone, cupid’s bow, temples and the center of the nose.
The By Terry Brightening CC Palette is said to contain versatile shades to complement all skin tones, minimise imperfections and highlight skin’s natural glow. Looking at the shades within this palette, I don’t think they’d work for medium to deep skin tones as they’re all quite light in tone.
This particular By Terry Brightening CC Palette is called the Sunny Flash Palette, so I don’t know if they plan on introducing more palettes to the range.
I’d love to see a palette with lighter shades for pale skin tones, and also a deeper version for those with richer skin tones too. I think this looks like a gorgeous palette, and it’s something I know I’d love and get a lot of use from this summer.
