By Beauty Bay SkinHit Hydrating Serum Review

Everyone raves about the Beauty Bay makeup range, but the skincare is overlooked. I’ve recently been testing the By Beauty Bay SkinHit Hydrating Serum, after loving the By Beauty Bay Dot-a-Spot Blemish Stickers. It’s amazing how affordable the By Beauty Bay brand is, with both their makeup and skincare collections, and this particular serum is just £5.95.

Change your skin for the better with the SkinHit Hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Glycogen from the Skincare By BEAUTY BAY range. This super serum sinks into the skin in seconds to support long-lasting hydration and skin health. Formulated with hydration-heroes hyaluronic acid and glycogen, this serum draws and retains moisture into the skin, minimising the appearance of fine lines and a tight, dehydrated complexion.

The By Beauty Bay SkinHit Hydrating Serum is £5.95 and contains 30ml within a white glass bottle, with a glass pipette dispenser. I really like the branding across the whole Beauty Bay skincare range, with white bottles and tubes, with pops of bright colour to help you know which product comes from which range.

Beauty Bay recommend using the By Beauty Bay SkinHit Hydrating Serum by gently patting 1-2 drops directly onto the skin, before applying moisturiser. It can be used both morning and night, but it can even be mixed into your moisturiser or face mask, for an extra hit of hydration which I love.

In terms of consistency, the By Beauty Bay SkinHit Hydrating Serum is very runny, and watery which means it smooths over the skin easily, with a little going a long way.

If you’ve ever tried The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid, the SkinHit Hydrating Serum is extremely similar. However, I have to say, I actually prefer this serum over The Ordinary version.

I find the Beauty Bay serum to be more hydrating, and it keeps my skin hydrated and plumped for hours, whereas The Ordinary’s serum is something you have to keep applying to keep the benefits.

I really love mixing the serum with the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask whenever my skin needs an extra boost of hydration. I really need to try more from the Beauty Bay skincare range, as I love the Cleansing Balm too, but it’s such a great, affordable skincare collection.
