The By Beauty Bay Brush Up Brows Brow Soap launched in July, as the latest addition to the Beauty Bay’s own brand brow collection.
All of the By Beauty Bay products are super affordable, and this new launch is no different, and is just £7, and it’s an amazing dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze Brow Gel.
By Beauty Bay Brush Up Brows Brow Soap
“Say hello to your bushiest brows yet with By BEAUTY BAY’s Brush Up Brows Brow Soap. Designed to create that trending laminated look in just a swipe, the clear formula is perfect for taming and framing the brows to create a fuller looking finish.
Formulated with cynanchum atratum extract, a botanical ingredient known for its skin conditioning properties, the brow soap provides a strong lift, long-lasting hold to keep the brows fluffed up. Formula is water activated and best applied with an angled spoolie brush for maximum bushy brow.“
The By Beauty Bay Brush Up Brows Brow Soap is £7, and contains 8g of product within a clear, plastic jar, with a silver chrome lid. The packaging is pretty much identical to the ABH Brow Freeze, except it has a different coloured lid, however the Anastasia Beverly Hills version is £23.
Inside the jar, the product is completely clear, and is a solid balm. To use the By Beauty Bay Brush Up Brows Brow Soap, Beauty Bay recommends ‘activating’ the soap. To do that, you need to moisten the soap, by misting a setting spray, primer mist of facial mist directly into the jar.
Alternatively, you can use a damp spoolie, but I’ve found the best method to be spritzing a setting spray into the jar, and then use a spoolie inside the jar to ‘fluff’ up the soap, to evenly coat the spoolie in wax before applying to your brows.
You can spray the formula directly with facial water, setting or priming mist, or spritz your spoolie before picking up the brow soap. It might sound like a faff, having to wet the soap, but it takes one mist of setting spray, and 2-3 seconds of manipulating the surface of the soap.
In addition to the By Beauty Bay Brush Up Brows Brow Soap, Beauty Bay launched a cute spoolie set for just £2, containing five brow spoolies to use with the Brow Soap. The By Beauty Bay Spoolies can be purchased individually, but can obviously be used with absolutely any brow products in your collection.
£2 might sound expensive for five spoolies, but they have a compostable handle made with 100% bamboo, so they’re much more sustainable than the many plastic spoolies on offer from other beauty retailers.
The By Beauty Bay Brush Up Brows Brow Soap is amazing for freezing your brows in place, and it doesn’t feel hard or crispy in your brows. I hate brow gels/soaps which you can feel all day whenever you’re making facial expressions, but that’s not the case with this brow soap.
If you’ve been wanting to try the (often sold out) Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze, but haven’t bought it because the concept is a little strange, you have to give this Beauty Bay version a try.
Once you’ve tried it, you won’t want to use a conventional clear brow gel again, as the hold you get with this By Beauty Bay Brush Up Brows Brow Soap is unbeatable, and it gives such a nice, full and fluffy effect.
Plus because it’s clear, you can use it to set absolutely any of your other brow pencils, powders, pens or gels within your collection, to make them last all day, and it’s available right now.
