I’ve already shared the adorable Hedwig advent calendar, but let’s take a closer look at the Boots Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection – I even have swatches for you too!
“Show your school pride with the HARRY POTTER™ HOGWARTS™ CASTLE COLLECTION. inside you will discover the HARRY POTTER™ GOLDEN SNITCH™ Highlighter Palette featuring four beautiful shimmering highlighting shades and two of the HARRY POTTER™ Cosmetic Brushes to use with it. Drop the HARRY POTTER™ GOLDEN SNITCH™ into your bath to immerse yourself in a fizzing bath experience, fragranced with notes of lemon, melon and sandalwood.
To enhance your bathing experience you can light your HARRY POTTER™ HOGWARTS™ candle and the velvet HOGWARTS™ Eye Mask and Scrunchie are the perfect accessories.
Keep your treasures safe inside the shimmering HARRY POTTER™ HOGWARTS™ CASTLE COLLECTION Tin.”
The Boots Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection is amazingly presented, and comes with a large metal castle tin. It’s a really big tin (dimensions are H 380 x W 151 x D 151mm), with a roof which slides off the top, and the entire castle has a holographic finish to it.
I honestly didn’t expect the Boots Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection to be so well made, and luxe. It would be the perfect storage tin for bath bombs or bath fizzers, as the lid closes so securely.
Inside the holographic Boots Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection Set, you get multiple Harry Potter themed products, and they’re all individually wrapped in tissue paper to keep them protected. When you pull the lid off the ‘castle’ the strong scent from the contents is very noticeable- it smells amazing!
So what is included within the Boots Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection?
Harry Potter Golden Snitch Bath Fizzer 240g
This is a really large, golden shimmery bath bomb with a strong fruity scent. I can only imagine how messy this would leave the bath after using it though, but it’s amazing how large it is.
Harry Potter Golden Snitch Glow Face Palette 4 x 3.5g
This is a four pan face palette with two highlighters, a bronzer and a blusher. It’s designed to look like a Golden Snitch, and is split into two with rosy tones on one half, and bronze tones on the other. The quality of these powders really impressed me; they’re beautiful!
Harry Potter Blender Makeup Brush + Harry Potter Ron Weasley Fan Makeup Brush
The two makeup brushes in this Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection are the disappointments, and that’s only because they have been damaged due to the way they were wrapped in tissue paper.
The bristles were crushed and twisted, and even with a wash the shape can’t be fixed, which is a shame as they’re beautiful brushes. The magic wand design handles are metal and weighty in the hand, but the shapes are ruined sadly.
Harry Potter Hogwarts Candle 160g
Next in the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection is this pretty candle. It has a clear, glass jar with an iridescent finish, and it smells lovely.
I can’t quite decide what it smells like, but it has a subtle floral scent and when you open the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection tin, you can smell the candle straight away.
Harry Potter Hogwarts Velvet Sleep Mask + Harry Potter Hogwarts Velvet Scrunchie
The last two items are navy and velvet, with both featuring inside the advent calendar. They’re both very well made, and are nice additions to the set.
If you have the Harry Potter Wizarding World Hedwig Advent Calendar, I don’t feel like you’d necessarily need the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection, as there is some overlap.
Such as the Scrunchie, eye mask and Golden Snitch Bath Bomb. However, there are a fair few items which don’t feature inside the calendar like the candle and face palette.
Overall, it’s a really nice set and apart from the damaged shape of the brushes, the items inside the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection are all high quality, are well made and would be loved and appreciated by any Harry Potter fan.
