Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused Gloss Review / Swatches

The Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused Gloss collection launched over a year ago, but I’d never tried the formula for myself, until recently.

I love lip gloss, and I love lip oils, so a hybrid formula combining the two was always going to be a winner, and there are so many beautiful shades to choose from.

Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused Gloss

A non-sticky, moisturizing lip gloss infused with a blend of nutrient-rich botanical oils in 12 sheer shades from bare to berry to bold.

I got the Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused Gloss in the shade New Romantic, as part of the Latest in Beauty Style Awards 2021 Edit.

You could choose any six products from their award nominated collection, and I had to choose the Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused Gloss as it was worth £19 alone, and the price of the box was £28, with five more products.

These glossy lip oils launched as part of the Bobbi Brown spring 2020 collection, and they’ve been a massively popular launch for the brand, and I couldn’t wait to try one for myself.

The range of lip oils were inspired their Crushed Lip Colour Lipsticks, and they’re perfect for those that don’t like a full on, opaque lip colour but still want the conditioning treatment and hydration of a lip balm with a pretty shine on the lips.

As I mentioned above, I got the Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused Gloss in the shade New Romantic. There weren’t any other shades available, it was just New Romantic, but it’s such a pretty shade, so I’m definitely happy with Latest in Beauty’s shade choice.

Bobbi Brown describe New Romantic as being a mid-tone neutral pink, which I’d say is pretty accurate. It’s a very flattering pink which I feel would look good on everyone, regardless of age or skin tone.

Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused Gloss

It offers a good level of pigmentation for a lip gloss, and it feels comfortable on the lips. I’d definitely say the consistency is very much of a lip gloss than it is a lip oil, but it’s not sticky or gloopy whatsoever.

I feel like the Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil Infused Gloss nourishes the lips a little during wear, but it doesn’t offer the same hydration and nourishment of a straight up lip oil like the Clarins Lip Oils do, for example.

I find that it lasts for around two hours, which is pretty average for a lip gloss, but it’s very pretty and comfortable to wear, which is exactly what I want from a lip gloss.
