This brand-new Becca launch is said to be a plumping and smoothing lip balm infused with hyaluronic acid that gives lips a wash of buildable, light-reflecting colour.

The Becca Hydra-Light Plumping Lip Balm is said to be infused with hyaluronic acid to attract and lock in moisture to the lips. As well as a plumping peptide complex visibly plumps lips while smoothing the appearance of lip lines.

It’s also been formulated with mango butter, jojoba seed oil, and the flavour of juicy mango, it nourishes dry lips with moisture, and leaves behind a pretty hint of a tint and shine.

There are eight shades of the Becca Hydra-Light Plumping Lip Balm to choose from;

  • Breeze – blackberry
  • Dew – berry plum
  • Lagoon – cherry red
  • Mist – transparent blue
  • Spray – pink fuchsia
  • Surge – warm bright coral
  • Swell – cool light pink
  • Tide – nude pink

It’s great that Becca have created eight different shades, as there’s a shade for everyone. Usually whenever a brand launches a tinted lip balm, there’s typically 2-3 shades max. There’s a good mix of some more muted shades as well as some bright and vibrant shades too.

The formula looks really buttery and smooth, and in the lip swatches, the finish reminds me of the now discontinued Revlon ColorStay Lip Butters. I particularly like the look of Tide, but it’s fun that there’s a blue shade like with the Lancome Lip Shakers which actually applies clear to the lips.
