The BeautyBlender Bounce Soft Focus Gemstone Setting Powder is a product which was doing the rounds on social media a couple of weeks ago, as it had been put out into Sephora, and many shoppers had photographed it to share it.
BeautyBlender kept very quiet about the launch, but the BeautyBlender Bounce Soft Focus Gemstone Setting Powder has now officially launched at Sephora.
BeautyBlender Bounce Soft Focus Gemstone Setting Powder
I am a big fan of almost everything BeautyBlender launches. I love their sponges, I loved their Bounce Foundation (I swatched every single shade here), I loved their Power Pocket Puff, and their primers, so I’m really excited about this brand new loose powder. It’s the perfect addition to their range, and complements the primer, and foundations perfectly!
“Airy and hydrating, this soft-focus powder blurs and visibly softens skin via a blend of rose quartz, ruby, sea minerals, aloe vera, and freshwater pearls.
The first of its kind, this formula also uses sustainably sourced mica to absorb oils and cancel unwanted shine, while light-reflecting gemstones melt into the skin, creating a prism-like effect in all the right places.”
The BeautyBlender Bounce Soft Focus Gemstone Setting Powder is described as being a super-blurring, airy gemstone powder that sets makeup and absorbs oil, giving life to your skin without dryness or caking.
There are five different shades available to choose from;
- Canary – brightening
- Buff – light range
- Topaz – medium range
- Nutmeg – tan range
- Chocolate – deep range
I have to admit, the shade range isn’t brilliant. There’s no shades for fair skin, and whilst Canary is being marketed as being suitable for all, there’s absolutely no way it’d work for my super pale skin.
I really wish they’d created a translucent shade which would suit every single tone, so hopefully that’s something they could introduce at a later date.
You never see powder launches these days without a translucent shade, so it’s a little disappointing that the BeautyBlender Bounce Soft Focus Gemstone Setting Powder has such a limited shade range.
I think the BeautyBlender Bounce Soft Focus Gemstone Setting Powder sounds like a great powder, and the packaging looks very sleek.
I love it when loose powders come with a mesh sifter, rather than the messy and inconvenient sifter with holes. The mesh sifter will be perfect for using with your BeautyBlender, and it’s available right here.
