Beauty Bay New Mood Palette

When Beauty Bay first shared the Beauty Bay New Mood Palette a month ago (exclusively, before anyone else), it definitely generated mixed opinions.

Beauty Bay eyeshadows are genuinely fantastic, and I own many palettes myself, but after the mega success of the stunning Beauty Bay Wilderness Palette, there’s always a lot of hype surrounding new Beauty Bay Palettes.

What are you in the mood for? With 20 matte, shimmer, and glitter shades, the By BEAUTY BAY New Mood Palette is here to help you create an infinite number of multidimensional looks that will always match your mood. Each shade has been made using By BEAUTY BAY’s signature formula with intense pigment payoff and major staying power, and has been based on the psychology of colours and how they can represent your mood.

Beauty Bay New Mood Palette

The Beauty Bay New Mood Palette is a twenty-pan powder eyeshadow palette, with cardboard packaging, just like all Beauty Bay Palettes, with a sizeable mirror inside the lid.

This palette features a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter finishes with square shaped pans. All of the shades are individually named with holographic writing underneath each shade, and the palette is £15 for 20 x 1.4g shadows – which is a lot of product for your money.

I really like the groupings of the swatches Beauty Bay has done. They haven’t swatched the shades in rows. Instead, they’ve swatched the shades in four groups of five swatches.

With the shades in each group being a cohesive colour family, so we have a group of blues/lilacs, greens/neutrals, yellows/browns and pinks/peaches.

Beauty Bay New Mood Palette

I don’t love the layout of the shades within the Beauty Bay New Mood Palette, as it looks so scattered and non-cohesive, but the swatch groups look a lot better, and it’s a shame they didn’t choose that layout for the rows within the palette?

For £15, you’re getting high quality eyeshadows which blend beautifully, and a lot of eyeshadow for your money, and it’s available right now.
