Barry M are kicking October off with a new Velvet collection, which features the Barry M Velvet Multi Purpose Palette, lipsticks and nails polishes too.
It’s nice to see Barry M do something different, and this whole collection looks so beautiful with pretty nude shades to complement all skintones.
Barry M Velvet Multi Purpose Palette
The Barry M Velvet Multi Purpose Palette is £9.99 and is packaged within cardboard casing, with an elasticated band to keep the palette secure. It looks relatively compact, especially considering how many products are featured within this palette.
“The only palette you need for effortless glam on the go! Barry M’s essential all-in-one Velvet Palette features 9 eyeshadows, highlighter, bronzer and a blusher all flattering and rich shades.“
The Barry M Velvet Multi Purpose Palette is divided into two, with one side of the palette having nine beautiful nude toned eyeshadow shades in both matte and shimmer finishes. Then, Barry M have included an acetate sheet to divide the palette, and protect the shades.
On the other side of the palette there are a blusher, highlighter and bronzer. The acetate sheet also helps to prevent any fall out from the eyeshadows migrating into the face powders, as nobody wants to apply bronzer or blush, with dark chocolate brown eyeshadow fall out being smeared across your face.
It might sound harsh, but Barry M palettes tend to look quite cheap with their cardboard packaging, and they’re just not appealing. The Barry M Velvet Multi Purpose Palette however, looks so much more luxe, even though it too has cardboard packaging.
I love the mix of shades, and the idea of having all the powders in one palette, and you can obviously use the face powders on the eyes too. For £9.99, it looks like such a nice palette, and I can’t wait to see what the swatches are like.
