If you’re a fan of the Barry M Glitter Rush Body Glitter, the range is being discontinued and replaced by the new Barry M Biodegradable Body Glitter.
Over the last 18 months or so, there’s been a massive push for brands to think about their plastic usage, and many brands that do offer glitter products, are gradually replacing them with biodegradable alternatives.
Barry M Biodegradable Body Glitter
The Barry M Biodegradable Body Glitter collection consists of seven different loose glitters, which are £4.49 each.
They’re currently only available via the Barry M website directly, but they will launch at their other retailers next week.
“Planning an at home festival in the garden? these glitter pots are ideal to complete your look. Plastic free, our new and improved Body Glitters are produced from a special film sustainably sourced from plant cellulose, that biodegrades naturally in fresh water.
The perfect solution for eco-friendly glitter on the go. Apply with Barry M’s Glitter Fixer Gel for easy application to face and body.“
The seven shades of the Barry M Biodegradable Body Glitter collection include;
- Party Time – rose gold
- Treasured – teal
- Ablaze – red
- Gold Mine – gold
- Sparkler – silver
- Pink Fizz – light pink
- Supermoon – copper
Each shade of the Barry M Biodegradable Body Glitter collection include 3.5g of product within a small, clear, plastic jar. 3.5g isn’t masses of product, but for glitter that is quite a lot of glitter.
Looking at the shades of their Glitter Rush collection which are non-biodegradable, the shades were so much prettier and multi-dimensional. However, it could be that it’s harder to make biodegradable multi-dimensional glitter?
Barry M do sell a clear glitter glue adhesive, which they recommend using with these loose glitters, so you can adhere the glitter to the skin for long-lasting wear, but it’s also easy to remove too.
