Aldi has launched two very exciting dupes today; the Aldi Lacura Show Up Benefit Cookie Highlighter Dupe, and the Aldi Lacura Dream Big Benefit Hoola Bronzer Dupe.
Aldi are known for creating pretty amazing dupes for higher end products, just like the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray dupe which I reviewed recently. If you’d like to find out all about this £5 Benefit Cookie Highlighter dupe, keep on reading…
Aldi Lacura Show Up Benefit Cookie Highlighter
“The Lacura Highlight is the perfect addition to your beauty routine. It’s beautiful shimmer will enhance your cheekbones with a subtle glow.
Add that perfect highlight to any area of your face and this will soon become your go to beauty essential.“
We’ve seen Aldi create a few different Benefit Box O’ Powder dupes in the past, but this is the first time we’ve seen them attempt to dupe the Cookie Highlighter, which is one of their latest powder launches.
Just like the Dream Big Benefit Hoola dupe, I had to order the Aldi Lacura Show Up Benefit Cookie Highlighter Dupe, as at £4.99, it’s amazing value, especially if the shade and formula are in fact a dupe.
Aldi Lacura Show Up Highlighter: £4.99 and contains 8g
Benefit Cookie Highlighter: £27.50 and contains 8g
In terms of packaging, the Lacura Show Up Highlighter is packaged in similar packaging to Benefit Cookie, with a magnetic cardboard box, with a mirror inside the lid, and a squared brush for application; just like Cookie.
The pan has a chevron design, which doesn’t look like Cookie, but for £5, it’s a really nicely presented highlighter, and the shade definitely looks similar to Benefit Cookie.
I can’t wait to do a comparison post between the Aldi Show Up Highlighter Powder and the Benefit Cookie Highlighter, to see if the formulas are in fact identical? I’ll be sure to share my comparison post very soon….
